We downsized without having the opportunity to declutter because of our busy lives.
I discovered Absolutely Organized on Facebook. We met Paula and started our declutter project and a very good relationship with her and her amazing team before the lockdown.
Paula is amazing. We felt comfortable with her from day one. She was professional and patient with my hubby and I, and challenged us without being pushy to think about what we needed to keep and what we needed to donate or get rid of. She shows amazing respect when she realizes there is a little treasure you really just can’t let go of.
We did every room in the house, including the office and garage. It was a journey and completed just a week ago as lockdown eased. Paula observes all the right protocols, which also made us feel comfortable finishing this now. She is well connected with worthy charities and just a call from her to one or two of these charities is so helpful. They picked up on the day as we cleared out or Paula was able to drop off at the charities where she could. Paula also had great ideas - and now everything has a place. What a freeing feeling…
As I look back I can honestly say it was challenging, yet satisfying. We would never have had such an organised home without Paula. We would have still been thinking about it, but now its done.
I highly recommend Paula and her team. It was well worth having someone nudge me into being organized…

Paulaaaaaaa!!!
She and her team are the absolute best. We had a hugely cluttered little house and were about to move to a bigger one. My husband was extremely apprehensive about how we were going to manage all the STUFF. He wanted to get Paula in, but I was reluctant because I was worried about the money. When she came to do a quote for decluttering and project-managing the move, I merely blinked and we had a moving inventory, quotes from removal companies and a clear way ahead. I could no longer refuse Paula’s services. She is warm but firm, with a great sense of humour. One hesitation or slightly raised eyebrow from her tells you everything you need to know about what to do with the object in your hand that you haven’t used in 10 years…
What I loved about her, aside from these things, is that she doesn’t have a scorched earth policy either. If she thinks something can be repurposed, she’ll hold off on donating it. She also respects one’s emotional attachment to things. There were several boxes that I wasn’t going to sort through because I know that all those family documents and photos were too treasured to let go of, and she respected that. But my god, the rest… she made us sort through every last shoebox and drawer, which had seemed so intimidating at first, but then it became infectious. She is so brilliant at reading where you are in terms of energy and emotional state, and she makes sure you take a break when needed. We donated boxes and boxes of things to those in need, which made the journey into the new house feel like an unencumbered new start.
Paula project-managed our whole move, and she and her team unpacked the entire house on the other side. She organised people to collect donations, and gave brilliant advice on organising our new space. She is also unbelievably resourceful in finding replacements for lost or broken parts of things. Not one thing was damaged in the move. If I had had to do this myself, I would have died. Aside from sleep training for my baby, this is the best money I have ever spent in my life. I just know Paula will be in our lives for years to come, with her wry maternal presence and totally containing energy.
Do not hesitate to work with Paula and her team. They will save your sanity, and there can be no price tag for that.
